MY PASSION PROJECT
I discovered the amazing life story of Henry Starr nearly two decades ago. I've written many drafts and conducted years of research to craft this screenplay and soon-to-be companion novel.
The Outlaw Henry Starr has been described as witty, romantic, action-packed and a page turner. Many people describe me the same way. ;)
Mark has written for Walt Disney Studios for both film and television.
As an actor/writer/producer he earned 3 Los Angeles Regional Emmys.
He has also appeared in numerous films and television shows including appearances on Comedy Central and ABC TV.
"The Outlaw Henry Starr"
A Serio-Comic Screenplay.
If Henry Starr wasn't a real person Hollywood would've had to invent him. After a 30-year career robbing banks Henry Starr is released from prison with few prospects - except becoming a silent movie star.
The goin' wouldn't be easy.
Sure, he'd survived gunfights and being sentenced to Death Row, but this was movie making and Show Business can be brutal.
In 1919, Oklahoma outlaw Henry Starr quit robbing banks to pursue an even more despicable career.
He went into Show Business.
"AND THEN EVERYTHING went TERRIBLY WRONG."
Henry Starr successfully reinvents himself as a positive role model.
He wins back the love of his life May Morrison.
But he desperately needs money to finish his next big movie.
Will he risk everything to rob ONE LAST BANK?
